Johnsrud elected chairman of truckers group
Jackie Johnsrud, president and CEO of Johnsrud Transport Inc. in Des Moines, has been elected board chairman of the Iowa Motor Truck Association, which lobbies for the industry’s interests. The association, formed in 1942, represents over 700 Iowa trucking companies and suppliers. Johnsrud’s father, Leon, started Johnsrud Transport in 1961 in Cresco, and moved it to Des Moines in the early 1980s. Johnsrud joined the company in 1989.
