Johnston John Deere facility earns LEED certification
A 145,000-square-foot three-story addition to John Deere Financial’s Johnston facility has achieved Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design Gold certification. Reducing water use, optimizing energy performance, using recycled materials and integrating green-cleaning products were among the sustainable practices cited by John Deere Credit in its announcement of the certification. OPN Architects Inc. was the project architect. Ryan Cos. was the general contractor. The project was completed in 2009.
