Johnston makes the grade with Money magazine
Johnston ranks No. 13 on Money magazine’s 2011 list of the 100 best places to live, and it is the second-best city for finding an affordable home. The Money-anointed cities appear in the issue that goes on sale Friday. Other Iowa communities making the best places to live list are Urbandale, No. 72, Ankeny, No. 86, and Bettendorf, No. 95. Louisville, Colo., topped the list, in which Money said it considered the “optimal combination of job opportunities, fiscal strength, top-notch schools, safe streets, good health care, cultural and outdoor activities, and even nice weather.”
