The Polk County Board of Supervisors plans to take action to appoint David Jones as Polk County administrator tomorrow.

Jones is currently serving as county administrator of Tazewell County, Ill. He previously served as the assistant city manager of Cleveland, Tenn.

“I am excited about the opportunity to be Polk County’s next Administrator,” said Jones in a release. “I was extremely impressed with the organization and the community and I look forward to working with the Board of Supervisors, management, staff and the community to build upon what is already a first-class County organization.”

Jones replaces Ron Olson, who resigned to become city manager of Corpus Christi, Texas.
