A Polk County district court judge ordered an Omaha company and its owner to comply with a subpoena issued in May 2010 by Iowa Attorney General Tom Miller on behalf of the Consumer Protection Division, Legal Newsline reported. Miller is seeking information about the business practices of Mark Schneidewind, the president of NationWide Construction Inc. The company, which also operates in Omaha as Midwest Renovations and Midwest Restorations, allegedly engaged in business in Iowa without being a registered contractor with Iowa Workforce Development and misrepresented NationWide Construction as a member of the Better Business Bureau. Judge Richard Blaine has prohibited the contractor from doing business in Iowa until he complies with the subpoena.
