Former Oklahoma Gov. Frank Keating pledged Tuesday to take a bipartisan approach as the next head of the American Bankers Association (ABA), Insurance Networking News reported. Keating, who will succeed the ABA’s current president and chief executive Ed Yingling in January, largely avoided laying out a detailed agenda, saying his first job was to hear what members have to say and to carry out the agenda of the group’s board of directors. Keating, a Republican, said he would take the same bipartisan approach he took as CEO of the American Council of Life Insurers, a post he held from 2003 until earlier this month.
