Kemin auction tops $57,000 for shelter
Kemin Industries Inc. raised more than $57,000 for Youth Emergency Services & Shelter (YESS) during its 12th annual YESS Charity Auction on Dec. 9. The money raised during the live and silent auctions will be used to purchase gifts for children living at the shelter during the holidays, with the remainder donated to YESS to help cover operating expenses. To date, the Des Moines-based bioscience company has raised more than $250,000 for the shelter through the annual event.
