Kemin Industries Inc. and American Dehydrated Foods Inc. (ADF) have reached an acquisition agreement in which Kemin will purchase property, equipment and assets related to ADF’s spray drying technology for products used in premium and super-premium pet food. The transaction is expected to close on June 30, and includes two ADF facilities in Verona, Mo. Terms of the transaction were not released. ADF, based in Springfield, Mo., will continue to operate seven other pet-food manufacturing facilities.
