A Kum & Go convenience store will be the first commercial development in Waukee’s Kettlestone Corridor. The City Council approve a site plan Aug. 17 for a store that will veer from the norm. It will be located at the soon-to-open Grand Prairie Parkway interchange at Interstate 80. The Kum & Go will be larger than normal, with a greater focus on fresh market items, according to a release from the city. It will include a covered plaza and dining area. The store is expected to be open for business when the interchange opens in late fall. NAI Optimum is using a drone to monitor progress on construction of the interchange and extension of Grand Prairie Parkway from the interstate north to University Avenue. Click here to watch.
