A predevelopment agreement between Ladco Development Inc. and the city of North Kansas City, Mo., is paving the way for a $100 million mixed-use redevelopment on about 58 acres located near three of the state’s top employers: Cerner Corp., North Kansas City Hospital and Harrah’s Casino. West Des Moines-based Ladco, which has an office in Overland Park, Kan., is working to identify potential tenants as it works to lay out a site plan and formalize a public-private development agreement. “This is the largest commercial development tract that we have undertaken for many decades,” said Jeff Samborski, the city’s economic development manager, in a press release. Site work is expected to begin in late 2011.
