The Ivy College of Business announced that Beth Ford, president and CEO of Land O’Lakes Inc., will speak Nov. 9 at Iowa State University as part of the Ivy CEO Speaker Series. The Sioux City native, a 1985 ISU graduate, was named the farmer-owned cooperative’s first female chief executive in August. Named to Fortune magazine’s 2018 Most Powerful Women in Business List, Ford is also the first openly gay woman to lead a Fortune 500 company. Earlier this year, Land O’Lakes announced a $5 million commitment to support the student innovation center, an endowed supply chain professorship, and scholarships for agriculture students. The lecture, “Leadership Is a Team Sport,” is scheduled for 11 a.m. in the Stark Lecture Hall in the Gerdin Business Building. No registration is required.
