Lead DSM is accepting nominations for its annual Distinguished Leadership Awards. The awards honor alumni of any Lead DSM program who “exemplify the heart of community stewardship, recognizing those who are caretakers and changemakers for Greater Des Moines.” New this year is the Workplace Community Leadership Award, which recognizes an organization that “supports and encourages its employees to hold leadership roles in the community and to seek out opportunities for community leadership development.” Lead DSM alumni and community members can submit nominations for the A. Arthur Davis Community Leadership Award, Youth Impact Award and Workplace Community Leadership Award. Self-nominations are accepted. Award recipients will be recognized from 5:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. Sept. 13 at Lead DSM’s Toast on the Lawn at the Lauridsen Amphitheater at Water Works Park. The deadline for award nominations is Aug. 22.
