Legacy Bridge CEO to speak on his journey with early-stage Alzheimer’s

The LCS Foundation has partnered with the Iowa Alzheimer’s Association on a virtual speaker series during June for Alzheimer’s and Brain Awareness Month. The series is free and open to the public, but advance registration is required. The June 15 session will feature Mike Zuendel, who was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease in 2020. Zuendel, founder and CEO of Legacy Bridge Family Offices in West Des Moines, is the first Iowan to try a new FDA-approved drug for the disease and a member of the Alzheimer’s Association National Early-Stage advisory group. Zuendel will talk about living with his diagnosis and the importance of removing the stigma of Alzheimer’s. He encourages others to be aware of early symptoms so they can seek early treatment or interventions. According to the 2022 Alzheimer’s Disease Facts and Figures Report, more than?6 million?Americans are living with Alzheimer’s.
