Legends of Manufacturing winners honored
Elevate Advanced Manufacturing, a program of the Iowa Association of Business and Industry, recognized leaders in manufacturing during its fourth annual awards dinner this week. The honoree in the under-100-employee category is Tim Greene, owner of Quality Machine of Iowa Inc., an advanced manufacturer in Audubon that specializes in precision machining of metal parts used in items as diverse as military helicopters, farm equipment and automotive accessories. Richard Davidson of Thombert Inc. in Newton won the Legend of Manufacturing award for companies with 100 to 300 employees. Jim Tyler and Kirk Tyler, owners of Atlantic Coca Cola Bottling based in Atlantic, received the Legend of Manufacturing award for companies with more than 300 employees. As one of Iowa’s largest industries, manufacturing annually contributes $28 billion to the state’s economy, ABI President Mike Ralston said. For a full list of award winners, click here.
