About: A free event at Drake University will focus on women inspiring and encouraging one another in reaching STEM goals. The night features guest speakers, a dessert reception, and optional tours of Drake’s new STEM facilities.

April 12: Metro-Wide Mentoring for Women
Host: Des Moines area chambers of commerce
About: Central Iowa women interested in finding a mentor or exploring the possibility of mentorship will have an opportunity when 13 area chambers of commerce convene to host simultaneous events with one common purpose. The goal of the events is introduce women interested in mentorship to potential mentors, as well as the mentorship process.

Host: Dress for Success Quad Cities
About: A fundraiser for nonprofit Dress for Success, an organization that helps women work toward economic independence, Recycle the Runway will show off the work and creativity of area designers as they repurpose bags of recycled clothing.
