Livestream available for Iowa’s first George Washington Carver Day celebration
Iowa State University is holding a celebration of Iowa’s first George Washington Carver Day on Wednesday. Gov. Kim Reynolds approved a bill last year designating Feb. 1 as George Washington Carver Day in Iowa. The program will feature student readings and speakers, including keynote speaker Dewayne Goldmon, USDA senior adviser for racial justice and equity. The event begins at 5:30 p.m., and a livestream will be available on Iowa State’s YouTube channel. More information is available at this link.
