The LSI Global Greens International Market will launch its 2025 season on Saturday with a Spring Plant Sale featuring vegetable and herb seedlings grown by the Global Greens program. The Global Greens program provides land access, training and resources to former refugees now living in Iowa to sell produce, share their agricultural traditions and grow their farm businesses, a news release said. Opening day will showcase a wide variety of seedlings ready for planting, including culturally significant crops not commonly found in traditional garden centers. The market is located at 1907 Carpenter Ave. and is open every Saturday from 9:30 a.m. to noon through October.
