Make-A-Wish Iowa has announced Wishes on Deck, an all-star softball game on June 22, at the Legion Field in Iowa Falls. Wishes on Deck brings together athletes from Iowa’s two largest universities, University of Iowa and Iowa State University, in a friendly yet competitive game to raise funds to grant wishes for children facing critical illnesses, a news release said. Team SWARM (University of Iowa) will feature Seth Anderson, Rhys Dakin, Aaron Graves, Mark Gronowski, TJ Hall, Deshaun Lee, Zach Lutmer, Kamari Moulton, Xavier Nwankpa, Karson Sharar and Kaden Wetjen. Their opponent, Team WeWill (Iowa State University) features Caleb Bacon, Rocco Becht, Ben Brahmer, Caden Matson, Will McLaughlin, Easton Miller, Tyler Moore, Domonique Orange, Jamison Patton and Chase Sowell. During the event, Iowa Wish kids will share their stories and there will be food and an auction. Additionally, the first team to raise $25,000 will have a competitive advantage during the game.
