Mary Sellers has been named the new president of the United Way of Central Iowa, the organization announced today.
Sellers will begin her new role on March 26.
Sellers, a former president and CEO of the Science Center of Iowa, is currently the president and CEO of the Children’s Museum of the Upstate in Greenville, S.C., and was previously CEO of the South Florida Science Museum.
“Mary Sellers has a 20-year record of success in nonprofit management, centered on driving

question, Mary’s selection portends even greater growth and success for an organization that
already is recognized as one of the strongest United Ways in the country,” says United Way of
Central Iowa Board Chair and Ruan CEO Steve Chapman.
