McCombs Boys & Girls Club marks opening
The new McCombs Boys & Girls Club at McCombs Middle School will have a grand opening with tours from 5:30 to 7 p.m. today, several days after the facility began programs. The 3,000-square-foot club is the first facility completed under Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Iowa’s Club Pathways capital campaign, which aims to double the number of kids and teens served. Speakers at the event will include Jodie Warth, CEO, and Des Moines schools Superintendent Tom Ahart.
