McCotter speech postponed
Today’s planned noon appearance by presidential candidate and Michigan U.S. Rep. Thaddeus McCotter has been postponed, the Greater Des Moines Partnership announced.
McCotter chose to stay in Washington, D.C., for the impending vote on the nation’s debt ceiling. An announcement of the new date is anticipated in the next two weeks.
Presidential candidate Herman Cain will be the next speaker in the Partnership’s Presidential Candidate Speaker Series. He will speak from noon to 1 p.m. on Aug. 4 at the State Historical Building, 600 E. Locust St.
