The Greater Des Moines Convention and Visitors Bureau (GDMCVB) will host a panel discussion aimed at business owners who want more familiarity with emerging trends in the media. Branding techniques and the creation of innovative ways to reach customers will also be covered at the event, which is scheduled to take place from 8 a.m. to noon on May 24. Greg Edwards, president and CEO of the GDMCVB, and Andy TeBockhorst of Merit Resources Inc. will provide opening remarks. Admission is $25, but students may attend for $15. Participants will hear from journalists Kevin Cooney of KCCI NewsChannel 8, Erin Kiernan of WHO-TV 13 and Bryce Miller of the Des Moines Register. The event will take place at All Play of Des Moines, 615 Third St.
