Medicap Pharmacy announced the launch of its new Pharmaself24 automated prescription pickup kiosk. Pharmaself24 is a secure, self-service prescription pickup kiosk solution that allows patients to collect their medications any time. The new service aims to support patients, caregivers, shift workers, a news release said. “The implementation of the Pharmaself24 self-serve kiosk for prescription pickup drives towards a goal to improve patient convenience and pharmacy efficiency by offering 24/7 access to prescriptions,” Rachael Renfrew, vice president of operations, GRX Holdings, LLC, said in a prepared statement. “This success of this project has the potential to boost patient satisfaction while optimizing operational productivity.” Pharmaself24 is widely used in Europe and is gaining momentum across the United States, according to the release. Two public ribbon-cutting ceremonies are scheduled for noon June 18 at 2301 Sunset Drive, Suite A in Norwalk, and at 11 a.m. June 25 at 8170 Douglas Ave. in Urbandale.
