Menke named USDA state director

74 wordsAll Latest News, Energy, Government Policy and LawGrant Menke has been appointed Iowa state director for the U.S. Department of Agriculture Rural Development. He began Aug. 6. Menke previously was policy director for the Iowa Renewable Fuels Association and was on U.S. Sen. Chuck Grassley’s staff in Washington, D.C. A graduate of the University of Northern Iowa, Menke was raised on a corn and soybean farm near Calumet. He lives in Ankeny with his wife, Susie, and their three sons.
