Mercy air ambulance service expands
Mercy Medical Center – Des Moines has begun a previously announced expansion of its Mercy One air ambulance service based out of Clarinda Regional Health Center, the hospital said Monday. The addition of a third helicopter in the state enables Mercy to provide faster emergency response times for southwest Iowa and northwest Missouri. The Bell 407 helicopter, operated by Air Methods/LifeNet with a Mercy medical crew, will serve a 15-county area surrounding Clarinda.
