Mercy Clinics Inc. has moved its downtown Quick Care Clinic from the Equitable Building to Capital Square, 400 Locust St., Suite 215. The move, completed made May 2, will allow for continued expansion of the skywalk clinic, Mercy officials said. The quick-care clinic, which offers medical care, preventative screenings and flu vaccines as well as physical therapy services, was the first of its kind in Greater Des Moines when it originally opened in May 2006; Mercy now operates similar clinics at three Dahl’s Foods locations. An open house for the Capital Square clinic will be held May 19 from 8-9:30 a.m. on Thursday, May 19 to provide downtown workers and residents with more information about its services. A continental breakfast will be provided as part of the event.
