Mercy nurse to participate in national health initiative
The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) has selected a nurse at Mercy Clinics Inc. as one of 73 individuals from 27 states who will participate in an inaugural quality improvement initiative known as the Innovation Advisors Program.
Kelly Taylor, director of quality for Mercy Clinics, was selected from among 920 applicants through a competitive process and was the only Iowa health professional chosen. The initiative was launched by CMS in October 2011 with a goal of finding new ways for health organizations to improve quality and lower costs.
