Meredith lays off 100 employees, one-third in Des Moines
Meredith Corp. announced Tuesday it is laying off about 100 employees, one-third of whom are in Des Moines, The Des Moines Register reported. The job cuts are related to the Des Moines-based publishing and media company’s recent acquisitions of several new businesses, company spokesman Art Slusark told the newspaper. As new companies were brought into Meredith, the company found ways to be more efficient, he said.
