The Mid-Iowa Health Foundation has announced that 10 Des Moines area health and human service organizations have been awarded grants totaling $200,000.

The funds are designed to support projects and activities that address community health priorities. Recipients are: AMOS, Children and Families of Iowa, Children and Family Urban Ministries, the Chrysalis Foundation, Des Moines Health Center, Employee and Family Resources, La Clinica, Visiting Nurse Services, Young Women’s Resource Center and Youth Emergency Services and Shelter of Iowa.

Mid-Iowa Health expects to contribute more than $450,000 to the community this year.
