Miller to retire at Food Bank of Iowa
Carey Miller plans to retire as executive director of the nonprofit Food Bank of Iowa after 25 years with the organization. She took the executive director position in 2009, becoming just the second director for the organization. Food Bank has grown to serve people in 55 counties. The board of directors of the Food Bank of Iowa chose Lawrence Stephen Partners to lead the search for Miller’s successor. Interested individuals should email Larry Imely. Besides traditional food services, the Food Bank of Iowa operates five direct service outreach programs. The agency distributed 11,059,360 pounds of food in the most recent budget year.
