Mills Fleet Farm is for sale
Mills Fleet Farm, the Brainerd, Minn.-based retailer that has stores in Ankeny and Mason City, is for sale, according to the Minnesota Star Tribune. The family-owned general store chain has more than 6,000 employees in six stores in the Twin Cities and 35 stores throughout Minnesota, Wisconsin, Iowa and North Dakota. Now operated by the third generation of the Mills family, the company is facing opportunities and challenges that require deeper pockets. The family announced the sale in a statement in the Brainerd Dispatch.
