Mission Cancer + Blood, part of University of Iowa Health Care, will relocate a clinic currently located at John Stoddard Cancer Center this winter to 110 East Court Ave. in downtown Des Moines. It will feature new equipment and furnishings in a newly developed space. The clinic will offer the same services and programs it does currently. Mission also operates more than 20 other locations across Iowa, including a new clinic in Waukee, which is part of the organization’s move to open stand-alone clinics. Mission has no plans at this time to relocate any other clinics that are embedded within partner health systems, according to a news release. Earlier this year, Mission was acquired by University of Iowa Health Care with the goal of creating a statewide comprehensive cancer care network aimed at keeping cancer care local for Iowans.
