Money Smart Week officially began this morning at a kickoff event this morning at the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago’s West Des Moines office. Nearly 140 Iowa Money Smart Week partners will offer more than 130 free financial seminars April 2-9 in communities across the state. Topics range from home-buying basics and financial literacy for youths to retirement planning and investment options for senior citizens. The free events will take place at banks, credit unions, libraries and local businesses.
