The American Heart Association will deliver more than 100 sports balls collected during the 2019 Heart Ball to nonprofit Opportunity on Deck this week. The Bring a Ball to the Ball campaign collects sports balls in hopes of encouraging physical activity in our local community. Opportunity on Deck serves Central Iowa communities by providing free athletic opportunities to children. The balls will be delivered to Opportunity on Deck on Thursday 6 p.m. at Crestview Elementary School. April is the perfect time for individuals and families to examine their exercise routines and make any adjustments needed, said Laura  Mergenmeier, Heart Ball director with the American Heart Association. “Move More Month can help you get started on the right path and is a good reminder that small choices to move more daily add up to better your health,” she said.
