The Greater Des Moines Metropolitan Planning Organization is now accepting applications for its Complete Street grant funding. The MPO is making a total of $75,000 available for at least five grants of up to $15,000 each for projects that make the streets of Greater Des Moines safer and easier to use for all people, regardless of whether they walk, bike, drive, take transit or use a mobility device. Applications are due by Oct. 15 and can be completed online. Projects selected for Tactical Starts will be notified by Nov. 30, and must be completed by Aug. 1, 2016.
