The Greater Des Moines Partnership, in collaboration with Sonic Factory Studios, is putting a special emphasis on the Des Moines music scene this week during its annual trip to the SXSW Festival in Austin, Texas. This year, the Des Moines Embassy at the festival will play host to the Des Moines: Hell Yes Showcase, a four-day music festival featuring music showcases from CAA, Artery, Def Jam, House of Blues, LiveNation, Photo Finish and Sound Rink. Aside from Central Iowa bands featured at the showcase, acts scheduled to perform at the Des Moines Embassy include Ryan Cabrera, Dead Sara, Beartooth, Bat Sabbath, Frnkiero and the Cellabration and Secondhand Serenade.
