NAI Ruhl & Ruhl Commercial Co. reported it set a company sales record in 2007, according to the Quad-City Times.

The Quad Cities-based commercial real estate company topped $260 million in sales and closed transactions in 2007, which was up 4 percent from its $250 million sales volume in 2006. Ruhl & Ruhl also increased in its market share in 2007.

Growth was also seen in Greater Des Moines for Ruhl & Ruhl. Kurt Mumm, president of the company’s Des Moines office, said its gross revenue was 61 percent greater than in 2006. Mumm pointed to a solid year of sales and leases and the company’s focus on property management.

“We are seeing a lot of out-of-state investors interested in Iowa,” he said. “We think it’s going to be another strong year for us.”

Two years ago the company bought property management company Magnum Resources. Since then, Ruhl & Ruhl has expanded its staff in Des Moines and Cedar Rapids and now manages more than 6.3 million square feet of space and seven business park associations.

“We’ve continued to have very steady growth over the last 10 years,” President Charles Ruhl Jr. told the Times. “Understanding that the commercial real estate markets were going to be softer in 2007 and 2008, we’ve been concentrating deliberately to grow our revenues through property management and maintenance services.”
