Nationwide Insurance Foundation gave the Young Women’s Resource Center (YWRC) a $20,000 grant to go toward its Mariposa program, a leadership program for Latinas. Since 1999, the YWRC has offered the bilingual program that provides opportunities for young women to learn about their roots, ethnicity and values.

Nationwide also gave a $15,000 grant to House of Mercy. The grant will be used to support House of Mercy’s programming serving homeless and chemically dependent women, teenagers and their children.

House of Mercy provides residential treatment and training programs dedicated to changing the lives of women and their children who often come from desperate situations such as chemical dependency, homelessness and abusive relationships.
