Neumann Bros. Inc. has won the 2011 Masters Award from the Master Builders of Iowa for its work on the Charles Benson Bear ’39 Recreation and Athletic Center at Grinnell College. The Masters Award is intended to recognize the exceptional efforts of a construction team in the execution and completion of an outstanding project. Neumann Bros., one of three finalists competing in the more than $10 million category, overcame several challenges, including two tough winters, to complete the 200,000-square-foot project in Grinnell. Next year, the company will celebrate its 100th anniversary.
