A new organization has been created to help Iowa businesses access clean energy at competitive prices. Iowa Business for Clean Energy was launched this week, coinciding with Gov. Kim Reynolds’ “Clean Energy Week” proclamation. The organization is a network of people in private business, energy producers, clean energy suppliers and energy efficiency professionals, who will use their experience to foster a discussion and learning opportunity to help lead to a low-cost clean energy future where Iowa businesses can compete globally. “The launch of an organization that gives a voice to the Iowa business community on energy issues is incredibly exciting,” said Delia Moon-Meier, senior vice president at the Iowa 80 Group, which operates the Iowa 80 Truckstop in Walcott. “As companies like ours look to better serve our customers through renewable energy and a more sustainable operation, it’s important that we have a seat at the table for energy discussions that impact us.”
