New data center to be built in Altoona
Enseva LLC, a Waterloo-based company that specializes in “next-generation data centers,” announced Tuesday that it will build a $12 million project in Altoona.
The company in August paid $400,000 for 13 acres of land directly east of 34th Avenue Northwest and north of Interstate 80, according to Polk County assessor’s records.
Enseva told the the Des Moines Register that it wanted to build the data center in the Des Moines area to be near its primary client: Iowa Health System. The center will employ 30 to 40 workers.
