Paul Williamson, assistant principal at Roy J. Wasson High School in Colorado Springs, Colo., has been tapped as the new principal of Lincoln High School in Des Moines. Williamson’s experience in developing and implementing career academies in his current position will benefit and complement the career academy structure already in place at Lincoln, the Des Moines Independent Community School District said in a press release. Williamson is expected to take on the new role beginning July 1. He will replace Joan Roberts, a former North High School principal who has served as Lincoln’s interim principal since July 1, 2010.
