New report puts Iowa tax climate in bottom 10
Iowa’s business tax climate was ranked in the bottom 10 at No. 42 in a new report from the conservative-leaning Tax Foundation.
The 2013 State Business Tax Climate Index measures how states’ tax systems enhance the competitiveness of their business environments. The tax report is based on each state’s individual income tax, sales tax, corporate income tax, property tax and unemployment insurance tax.
The 2013 index represents the tax climate of each state as of July 1, the first day of the standard 2013 state fiscal year.
