Nitefall on the River, Des Moines’ annual summer concert series, has announced the first round of bands and performers that will headline this season. Performers include Hairball,  The Nadas, Michael Franti & Spearhead with Nattali Rize & Notis, Lost Lonely Boys with Roger Clyne & The Peacemakers, Umphrey’s McGee, Lake Street Drive, Slightly Stoopid with Dirty Heads & The Expendables, and Nitty Gritty Dirt Band. More acts slated to perform this season will be announced soon. Advance tickets for all shows go on sale April 3 at 10 a.m. Tickets can be purchased online.
