Three public meetings will seek citizen input on the Nollen Plaza redesign this week:

– Workshops will be held on Wednesday from 11:30 to 1 p.m. and 5:30 to 7 p.m. at Capital Square, 400 Locust St.

– A design-team work session will take place all day Thursday at Capital Square.

Landscape Architect Ken Smith and San Francisco artist Jim Campbell will lead the three-day charrette. Smith’s portfolio includes a rooftop garden at the Museum of Modern Art in New York City, and Campbell is presently commissioned to design the country’s largest new park in Los Angeles. – A design open house is on Friday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Civic Center of Greater Des Moines, 221 Walnut St.
