Veridian Credit Union is asking Greater Des Moines nonprofit organizations to nominate inspiring volunteers, some of whom will be named credit union VIPs, or Volunteers Inspiring Progress. Veridian is hosting the campaign in celebration of its newest branch at the corner of Martin Luther King Jr. Parkway and Ingersoll Avenue, scheduled to open in June. Volunteers serving organizations in Polk or Dallas counties are eligible. One VIP will be selected in each of three categories: inclusion, innovation and financial literacy. The three VIPs’ nominating organizations will also receive a $1,000 donation. Details and the nomination form are available online. Nominations will be accepted through May 8.
