Right away on Monday morning, media covering Grow with Google’s digital literacy workshop at the Central Library learned two breaking news items: Google.org’s Impact Challenge Iowa, which will award $1 million in grant funding across five Iowa nonprofits through the challenge, and Gov. Kim Reynold’s latest pizza choice.

“What was the last thing you Googled?” a reporter asked Reynolds and U.S. Sen. Joni Ernst after the announcement.

It stumped them both for a moment.

“Oh my gosh. I think Noah’s [Ark] phone number to order pizza,” Reynolds said. “I needed food!”

Ernst thought her last search might have been price-comparisons on a lawnmower. No word yet on her final decision.
