Apple and Goldman Sachs are under fire for the Apple Card’s algorithm after a tech entrepreneur claimed he was given a credit limit 20 times higher than his wife, Jamie Heinemeier Hansson, despite a shared income and financial records. The debate then strengthened after Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak claimed he was given a credit limit 10 times higher than his wife with no obvious path for appeal. “This is not a story about me,” Hansson wrote of her experience in a blog post. “Brilliant women are all over social media, using their voices to strive for a better way forward. Listen to them.”
