So far, competing French luxury billionaires have pledged to donate 400 million euros ($452 million), and President Emmanuel Macron has pledged to lead the fundraising campaign to rebuild. Many of the artworks and relics inside Notre Dame were saved by the 400 firefighters responding to the call.
