I read in Monday’s Wall Street Journal that Iowa native Ashton Kutcher will be rolling out a new reality television show this week, “Going for Broke,” which will focus on helping contestants find ways to reduce their student debt. “Oh, sure,” commented a millennial member of the newsroom. “Why didn’t they do this show nine years ago, when I was just starting to pay on my loan?” Kutcher, an actor, producer and entrepreneur, told the Journal: “A lot of people hide behind their debt. I thought, ‘It would be pretty cool to make an entertaining show that gives simple tools to solve this problem.” The 10-episode series will stream on Chicken Soup for the Soul Entertainment and on Crackle.
